West Bengal Assembly elections are due next year. BJP and TMC have just pulled swords. BJP President JP Nadda was on a tour of Bengal recently. His convoy was attacked on 10 December in South 24 Pargana area. Stones were thrown at the convoy, senior BJP leader Kailash Vijayvargiya also suffered a minor injury. BJP has said that the TMC workers carried out this attack. On the other hand, TMC has accused BJP for the same, saying that they have done it themselves to create nuisance. After this incident, the Union Home Ministry called three IPS officers on deputation who were responsible for the safety of Nadda.But, Mamta Banerjee led TMC government refused to release the said officers.
